Nature Foundation Sint Maarten
Nature Foundation Sint Maarten manages the Man of War Shoal Marine Park, the island's protected area, and monitors reef sites to the GCRMN protocol. The reefs here are under pressure from stony coral tissue loss disease, from bleaching, and from invasive lionfish. The dives you log at these sites come back to the Foundation as data: what was seen, where, and how often. It is not a survey and it does not replace their transects. It is a record of what divers see on the days in between.
